So, Marybeth is sick with influenza A and bronchitis. So what did she do as soon as she got home from the doctor… mowed the yard, picked up more of my roofing mess and moved bundles of shingles back into the garage (I was not home to force her to lay in bed and rest).
So I have not touched a computer in half a week because my hands have been covered in roof tar/cement. The past 3 days I have been roofing my house since I had huge hail storm earlier this year. Everything turned out great (minus a little rain in the attic after a unpredicted rain storm… I was up on the roof at 2:00am in my rain jacket!). Thank you to all my friends and family that helped out!
Right before I started my roofing project, I competed in the City of Lakes Loppet Trail Run. It is the last event in the Hoigaards Challenge. I ended up winning the trail run and the overall challenge which means I won a week stay up on the Gunflint Trail at Bearskin Lodge! The race was tough (as usually) and my teammate Brian Gregg and I ran together for most of the race. We ended up getting lost and ran an additional 1/4 to 1/2 mile but still managed to go 1,2. After the race we both could barely walk from all the blisters on our feet but we made it back to Gear West to help sell lots of skis at the CXC SuperFit weekend.

From my other half’s perspective… maybe she will motivate me to update a little more often but things have been very busy lately. Work is very busy, trying to keep up on training, home projects and balancing family time is cutting into my free time on the computer.
Does this count as a sentence? And no, a dog did not bite Grant=)
