Camp over, time to rehab
matt | September 28, 2008Today most of the team did our long workout for the week and planned a 3+ hour run in Adirondack Park. The route for the guy’s team along with Heather Zimmerman included running to Avalanche Lake and then the ascent of Mt Colden. The first three hours of running/hiking went very well but on the descent I rolled my ankle pretty bad on a wet slippery rock. The weather for the run was less than ideal with rain most of the time. We were already a little behind schedule but with me slogging along at a crawl the total workout ended up being almost 4 and a half hours. I cannot put very much pressure on the ankle but hopefully I will only be out of commission for a week or so. The trainer said 1-3 weeks, high ankle sprain… bummer, I hope it heals quick.
